PRO ATHLETES

Avital Carroll is a freestyle mogul skier competing on the Austrian national team. She grew up in New York City, chasing snow at Stratton Mountain in Vermont, where she first started skiing at just two years old.

Avital previously competed for the United States, but through her heritage and the Austrian nationality act she now proudly represents Austria on the World Cup circuit. She is an Olympian, a two-time World Championship medalist, and continues to compete at the highest level of freestyle skiing.

Avital loves the thrill of skiing and the challenge of constantly refining the technical side of the sport. She works with SkiShoe Biomoto because having a secure and precise fit in her boots is key to feeling confident on the mountain. It’s also a bonus that Brian shares a passion for freestyle skiing, making every visit a chance to catch up on all things moguls.

When she’s not on snow, you can usually find Avital at home perfecting her coffee-making skills.

Brian had the privilege of coaching Nick when he first joined the Wasatch Freestyle Team at just 10 years old, working with him for several years before Nick moved on to compete on the international stage.

A Park City native, Nick Page is one of the most exciting athletes on the Stifel U.S. Freestyle Ski Team moguls squad. Now a 2x Olympian (2022, 2026), Nick has quickly established himself as one of the top mogul skiers in the world.

Nick has earned 10 World Cup podiums, including one victory, and has climbed as high as 3rd overall in the world rankings. He has represented the United States at the FIS World Championships in 2021, 2023, and 2025, and was named FIS World Cup Rookie of the Year in 2021. Earlier in his career, Nick captured both Junior World Championship and U.S. National titles, signaling the start of what has become a remarkable competitive trajectory.

Known for pushing technical limits in the sport, Nick was the first American to land a cork 1440 in World Cup competition and has competed the highest degree of difficulty run ever performed in moguls competition. At the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, he finished 5th overall, becoming the youngest male competitor to reach the medal round in over a decade.

And he’s just getting started.

World Cup competitor Charlie Mickel from Durango, Colorado, is a two time National Champion and the 2023-24 NorAm Cup Overall Champion. Mickel had a breakout 2024-25 season, topping his personal bests almost every event, including his first career podium at World Cup finals in Livigno.

Charlie grew up training and competing in mogul skiing with his three siblings, and this sport has been a lifelong passion of his since he was young.

He now resides in Park City, Utah, where he attends the University of Utah, and is an avid whitewater kayaker and tennis player in his free time.
